RECOGNITION ACCORDED BY THE DISTNACE EDUCATION COUNCIL TO THE UNIVERSITIES / INSTITUTIONS 
FOR OFFERING PROGRAMMES THROUGH DISTANCE MODE
IMPORTANT: In case of technical/professional programmes offered by the university is concerned, wherever required, approval from the concerned apex bodies in the country such as AICTE, NCTE, etc.  is required to be obtained for which the responsibility vests with the university concerned.Study Centres: The Distance Education Council (DEC) does not give approval to the  Study Centres of any university/institution either directly or through franchise as they are established by the university/institution concerned as per the provisions available in their Acts and Statutes. Territorial Jurisdiction:  In case of Central Universities and the State Universities, the Territorial Jurisdiction will be as per their Acts and Statutes for offering programmes through distance mode.  The Territorial Jurisdiction in case of Deemed University will be as per UGC which mandates the prior approval of the UGC for opening Study Centres / Off Campus Centres outside the HQs.  The territorial jurisdiction in case of Private Institutions (other than Universities) shall be their HQs and in no case outside the State concerned.Institutional Recognition:  The DEC has not accorded approval to any specific programme offered by the university / institution and it is the university / institution to decide the programmes to be offered through distance mode and seek approval of the statutory bodies of the university and other apex bodies, wherever required.

The candidates may download their admit cards from CBSE website from 03.07.2013 onwards and appear for the examination at the given Centre. In case of any discrepancy in the particulars of the candidate or his photograph and signatures mentioned in the admit card and Confirmation Page the candidate may immediately contact CBSE for necessary correction.

In case the application of the candidate is not shown as received on CBSE website www.cbse.nic.in or www.ctet.nic.in by 15.06.2013, the candidate should approach the Assistant Secretary, CTET Unit, CBSE between 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. from 16.06.2013 to 27.06.2013 giving details of the Post Office, Date of

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CTET-JULY 2013

ELIGIBILITY

The candidates having the following minimum educational qualification are eligible for appearing in CTET.
Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage):
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
  • OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
  • OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

FEE FOR ISSUE A DUPLICATE CTET CERTIFICATE

VALIDITY PERIOD OF CTET CERTIFICATE:

  • The Validity Period of CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be seven years from the date of declaration of its result for all categories.
  • There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a CTET Certificate. A person who has qualified CTET may also appear again for improving his/her score.
  • A candidate can get a duplicate copy of Marks Statement or Eligibility Certificate by paying the following fees by way of Demand Draft in favour of “Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education” drawn on any nationalized bank and payable at Delhi:

1. Please read the instructions and procedures carefully before you start filling the Online Application  Form.
2. Candidates can apply for CTET-JULY 2013 ‘ON-LINE’ through CBSE website www.cbse.nic.in or www.ctet.nic.in w.e.f. 15.03.2013 to 16.04.2013.
For ‘ON-LINE’ SUBMISSION - www.cbse.nic.in or www.ctet.nic.in
Candidates can apply ‘ON-LINE’ at Board’s website www.cbse.nic.in or www.ctet.nic.in. The candidate should supply all details while filling the Online Form. Candidates are required to take a print out of the computer generated Confirmation Page with Registration Number after successful submission of data. The Confirmation page is sent to CBSE.
3. Examination Fees

List of Examination Cities where the CTET will be conducted is given in Appendix-III. Candidates are required to give THREE DIFFERENT OPTIONS in order of their preference. While every effort will be made to allot a Centre in one of the places opted by the candidate, the Board reserves its discretion to allot a Centre other than that of Candidate’s choice anywhere in India. Under no circumstances, the Centre once allotted shall be changed by the Board. In case the number of candidates in any of the notified City is very less for running the Examination Centre, the Board at its discretion may not conduct the Examination in that City and the Candidate who opted that city as 1st Choice may be allotted Examination Centres in other city opted as 2nd or 3rd choice.

1.  Immediately on receipt of admit card, please check whether the particulars printed therein are

HOW TO APPLY (ON-LINE): 
Step – 1 : Register yourself – New Registration/Already Registered – Click "Login" button at the bottom 
i) You should have a valid e-mail Id. In case you do not have valid Id. then create a new E-mail Id. Fill up your E-mail Id. address in the specified column. 
ii) Fill up your date of birth as per instructions. 
iii) Upload your photograph of size 200 KB and signature size 20 KB in Jpg/Jpeg format. 
iv) Click “Submit” button. Link to generate payment challan will appear on the screen. Click “Generate Challan” and fill up the particulars as per instructions. After filling particulars, click “Print” button and get a copy of payment challan. 
Step -2 : 
i) Put your signature on the payment challan in the column specified for it. 
ii) Deposit the examination fee as mentioned on the challan in the nearest branch of only HDFC bank. The bank will return two copies of challan out of which one is meant for your record and other is to be deposited by you along with print out of application form at the examination centre while appearing in the examination. 
Step- 3 : 
i) After depositing examination fee through e-challan click login and go to "Already Registered". 
ii) Fill up E-mail Id. and your date of birth. Click "Submit" Button. Thereafter click "application form". Format of application form will appear on the screen. 
iii) Fill up all particulars including the details of bank challan as per instructions. After filling up the information as per instructions, click on button “Submit”. 
iv) After submission, filled up application form will appear on the screen. 
v) Check the particulars to ensure their correctness and in case of any mistake click “Edit” and make corrections wherever required. 
vi) Click “Final Submission” . Please note that no change will be allowed in the particulars after clicking “Final Submission”.
vii) After “Final Submission” , format of filled up application form will appear on the screen. Click “Print” button given at the bottom of application form. Take print out of application form. 
viii) Candidates are advised to preserve an extra copy of print out of application form for future reference and record. To get another copy of already submitted application form, click "Login" , Go to "Already Registered", Click "Application Form" and take printout. 
Step -4 : 
Put your signature and paste your  recent colored photograph at the given space. This copy of print out of computer generated application form along with a copy of payment challan has to be brought by every candidate at the examination centre which shall be handed over to the Invigilator. No candidate will be allowed to appear in the examination without handing over the copy of print out of application form and payment challan.
